WILLIE BRANDON

As a passionate advocate for community empowerment and youth development, Willie Brandon serves as a Board Member for the Legacy Institute, where he helps drive the mission of leaving a lasting legacy for minority children. His work aligns with Legacy Institute's goals to empower and uplift the Black community, addressing systemic disparities through mentorship, education, and leadership programs.
With over 30 years of experience in customer relations, program development, and community engagement, Mr. Brandon brings a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, team leadership, and resource management. As the Director of Parks & Recreation, he has led major park renovations, increased departmental revenues by over 300%, and developed community-centered programs that foster growth and opportunity. His commitment to improving community infrastructure and creating spaces for both youth and adults is a testament to his dedication to uplifting those around him.
In addition to his professional role, Mr. Brandon is deeply involved in mentoring and volunteering. He has served with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Jolly 7 Social Club, and Tower of Hope Ministries. His volunteer work is driven by a passion for empowering others and creating lasting change. He has also co-hosted the Social Media Roundup, helping to bridge gaps and provide resources for those in need.
A lifelong learner, Mr. Brandon is committed to personal and professional development, constantly seeking ways to grow and develop as a leader. His personal interests include family, sports, bike riding, and reading. He is dedicated to leveraging his skills and experience to help the next generation of Black youth build a legacy of their own and overcome the challenges they may face in life.
Mr. Brandon continues to work towards a brighter future for Black communities, applying his expertise to both professional roles and community initiatives. He is committed to leaving a legacy that will inspire and guide the next generation.
