A major component of L.E.G.A.C.Y.’s mission is to equip young people with the skills they need to enter adulthood and thrive. Through our college and professional development preparation program, we instill values and tools in our youth that will guide them to success in the future. We provide students with FAFSA assistance and scholarship support/access. We also connect youth with current college students, that way, they are able to get authentic insight into college life. Continuing, Legacy Institute STL works to share multiple avenues of futures for young people. They are able to explore non-academic career paths, such as trade school and trade-related professions. We promote youth interactions and engagement with individuals who hold positions in various types of career fields. Legacy Institute STL strives to ensure a successful and thriving future for our current youth, and we believe they should have multiple ways to access that.
