Mrs. Heather Day is the Founder and Executive Director of The Great Days Leadership Academy Nonprofit where the vision for its students is to be prepared to thrive as adults by attaining the necessary skills to realize full potential. The academy mission is to invest time, provide tools and resources, and create positive experiences for youth to transform into productive, active, and flourishing citizens. Mrs. Day is a community and youth advocate. Her love for youth and community are deeply rooted in her and she lives each day by the belief that service to others is most supreme!

Mrs. Day is the owner of Day Tees Creative Collection, an online collection of custom tee shirts and more, with positive messaging and unique styles for shoppers worldwide. Additionally, Mrs. Day is the owner of a Unique Day Business Consulting, an Independent Beauty Consultant, and she recently launch Day Yard Signs and More. She spends much of her time in the community by serving as the Chairman for the HBCU for Life: A Call-to-Action Committee in her sorority – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has held many positions in her children’s school Parents Association, has led two Girl Scout Troops, serves as a Deaconess at her church, is a member of the Friends Committee at City Academy School and serves on the Fundraising and Hospitality Committees for Alabama A&M University National Alumni Association.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, certifications in Project Management from Washington University, a certificate in Supervisory Management from the University of Alabama, Huntsville and has been trained in Diversity and Inclusion, Effective Communication and Leadership. Mrs. Day has been married to Darian Day Sr. for 13 blessed years and has three beautiful children: Rylee (age 11), Ryen (age 9) and Darian Day Jr (age 7).​
